FIND A GRAVE MARKER

Note: We do not have a database for grave locations.  The best website we have found to obtain grave location data is the Veterans Legacy Memorial (VLM) website. You will have to select the RED “Get Location Data” button below to visit the VLM website to obtain the location data.   Read the instructions below before visiting the VA website:

• On the opening screen enter the “last name” of the veteran,
• Then enter the “first name”,
• For the best results enter Florida National Cemetery in the Cemetery block.
• In most cases this will be enough information to locate the grave site.
• If not you can fill in the remaining blocks provided.
• Click on the “Search” button in the lower right corner.
• If more than one name, or location appears just scroll until you find your veteran
• Click on the veterans name and all available location data will appear.
• For “Flat Grave Markers” and “Upright Grave Markers” Jot Down the location:
      SECTION:_______SITE:________ GPS:___________________________
• Columbarium’s 1 thru 4:
      SECTION: ______ ROW: ________ SITE: ______ GPS:_______________________
• Columbarium 5 will have a “W” inserted in the location data.
      SECTION: COL5___ ROW: W___ SITE: ______ GPS:________________________
• At this point you could enter the GPS data into your GPS Unit, Smart Phone and go directly to the Grave location. You can return to https://retiredarmy.net and download a route map to the Section Area
• Open “MAPPING” select the “MAP INDEX” Sub-Menu where you can find the Route Maps to the Section Area.
